Guppies for Sale

Note (10/06/25): I have postponed shipping guppies until 2026 when I will have more time and more top-notch stock available. So far, the shipping business has gone much more smoothly than I thought.

Now (Spring/Summer 2025) I am selling my own brand of–“Rainbow Guppies.” For the last several years I have been carefully selecting guppies for beauty, disease resistance, and fitness. (See my articles.) Females have good size, beauty, and longevity. Males are also fit and have have a variety of brilliant colors. Unlike an inbred strain, you are going to get greater fitness and the natural color variety that makes the guppy (Poecilia reticulata) truly special.

Selling 2 pairs of young adults for $50. (SeeShop’ page.) This includes shipping and a live fish guarantee.* Males and females are from separate batches to avoid mating full siblings and severe inbreeding. Males tend to be either pure iridescent blue or purple/red-orange or blue/red-orange. See video and Meet the Parents! below for a typical range of colors.

Feb 2025 Batches now for sale! Video from 5/8/25 when guppies were just 10 wks old. In coming months, they are only going to get bigger and even more beautiful!

Meet the Parents!

As to color variation and how the young guppies when a little older, below are the parents of current offerings:

Rainbow Male (6 mos.) with blue caudal and iridescent blue body
Rainbow Male (8 mos.) with light blue caudal
Rainbow Male (8 mos.) with purple caudal
Large, beautiful female (10 mos. and 4.5 cm body length). Her dam survived past 20 months. Other two females (her sisters) shown below were similarly selected for both longevity and beauty.

*Shipping: Orders must be placed before 4 PM Sunday to ship out on Mondays. Extreme weather may delay shipping. If weather is not ideal, PLEASE make sure that someone is there to receive package soon after delivery. In the rare instance of fish death, I will send either replacement fish or a refund for fish, but not the $20 shipping cost (USPS Priority Mail, 1-3 days). Buyer needs to provide photographic evidence of dead fish soon after their arrival. For more information, feel free to e-mail me at: <dwalstad@bellsouth.net>.
